OSBORN, Mo. (July 4) – For the second straight night of racing at U.S. 36 Raceway, the IMCA Modifieds saw Steven Bowers Jr. visit Westfall GMC Victory Lane. By Jacob Blair Carson Masoner paced the first half of the race in the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars. Masoner comfortably led the first half of the race, while J.J. Baumli began his charge from the ninth place starting position. Bowers used a front-row starting position to lead every lap of the feature in route to the dominating win. Chad Clancy started in the ninth position and patiently worked his way to second. The lone caution of the race allowed Clancy a chance at Bowers, but Bowers kept a comfortable margin after the restart. Josh Munsen completed the podium with a third place run. Up next at Osborn, weekly competitors continue the season’s chase for championships on Friday, July 10. IMCA Modifieds, IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods will all be racing. Bowers, already on the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot, earned $1,000 for his Saturday efforts.
