first_img Sharing is caring! 50 Views   no discussions Share Tweet Sharecenter_img LocalNews Teen Splash to Bring Awareness on H.I.V by: – April 15, 2011 Share Well –known Dj and entertainer Erdyington “DJ Mystic” James in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, the H.I.V Unit, Planned Parenthood and other private institutions under the theme “Abstinence is the best choice” has joined together to plan the activity Teen Splash.The event which will take place from 4pm this afternoon, at the Krazy Koconuts will focus not only on entertainment but also abstinence as the best  protection against H.I.V but other sexual transmitted infections and diseases.Speaking in an interview on Q95 Fm’s “Hot Seat” with DJ Mystic, Judy Frampton of the H.I.V unit this morning said that is was refreshing to see a young person come out with that idea to support abstinence and the unit saw it fit to pledge it’s support.She said that 72% of males are affected with H.I.V and that the working age group of 19 – 44 was the ones who get infected.She further stated that persons may think that they are talking about H.I.V and AIDS again however, there will only be a behavioral change if the unit and other persons like DJ Mystic speak out.At the event persons will see the performances from Colton T, Nicole Christian, Nayee, Tasha P, Benji N 2 O and the Bouyon Pioneers the WCK band.News Reporter: Grace HendersonDominica Vibes Newslast_img
