Honor 9 Lite with dual front and back cameras launched in China, coming to India soon

first_imgHuawei’s sub-brand Honor launches the Honor 9 Lite, but only for its home market, China. However, going by the reports, the company has officially announced to bring the smartphone in 14 other countries including India very soon, although it didn’t mention the exact timeline as of yet. The Honor 9 Lite, is a direct successor to the previously announced Honor 9. Comparing the two, the Honor 9 Lite is a much-advanced version of its predecessor, be in terms of display, camera, look, software or the hardware.The key highlight of the smartphone is its display and cameras. The Honor 9 Lite comes with a 5.65-inch full-HD+ IPS display with 1080×2160 pixels resolution. The smartphone sports an 18:9 IPS display which in comparison is much slim than the Honor 9 which comes with a 16:9 display.Apart from the display, another striking feature of the smartphone is its camera setup. The Honor 9 Lite comes with dual cameras on both backs as well as the front. On both back and front, the phone comes with a primary camera includes a 13-megapixel sensor, while the secondary camera includes a 2-megapixel sensor. Coming to the hardware department, the Honor 9 Lite is powered by a Huawei HiSilicon Kirin 659 processor – which makes the phone much more powerful than the previously launched Honor 9. The device is launched in three variants which include – 3GB RAM and 32GB storage, 4GB RAM 32GB storage, and 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The storage can be expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card. As per the pricing details, the 3GB RAM with 32GB internal storage variant of the phone comes with a price tag of CNY 1,199 – which roughly translates to Rs 11,700. While the 4GB RAM and 32GB storage are priced at CNY 1,499 which is roughly around Rs 15,600. The 4GB RAM, 64GB storage variant priced at CNY 1,799, which roughly comes around Rs 17,500.advertisementThe Honor 9 Lite comes with several connectivity options which include — 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and Micro-USB with OTG support. The smartphone is backed by a 3000mAh battery – which the company claims to deliver a talk time of up to 20 hours on 3G, and a standby time of up to 24 days. The smartphone reportedly charges quickly. The company claims that the phone charges 100 per cent in about 2 hours 20 minutes.At the launch event, Honor has reportedly announced that the Honor 9 Lite will go on sale on Dec 26 in China and in 14 countries soon after, including India, Russia, and the UK.
